Welcome Green Genie, A Green Carpet Cleaner That Actually Works!

Quick post but a must share product. My family and I moved into a brand new home a few years ago and within weeks our beloved pet dog, Sadie, vomited on our spotless carpet. I did my best to get the stain up…even went to the lengths of using Resolve, which is definitely not a green choice but I was desperate! Two years later, the stain remains…until today. Recently, a friend of a friend, who has been in the carpet cleaning business for years, developed a non-toxic, bio-degradable, eco-friendly carpet cleaner that cleans spots out of carpet & upholstery, called Green Genie. They’re in the process of launching it and I used it for the first time tonight on this two-year old stain. I sprayed it on, enjoyed the pleasant, non-chemical scent for 2 minutes and then blotted with a soft cloth…end result, the stain is gone!!

While carpet is not the greenest of choices when it comes to flooring, it is found in many homes. And I’ve had a hard time finding a “green”, eco-friendly carpet cleaner that actually works. Given that I live in a house with two dogs and children, I’m elated that my search is finally over!! Thank you Green Genie! You must try this product. Available on QVC, April 22nd (Earth Day) between 9 and 10. And if you’re on facebook, vist their page and become a fan!

Local Company Coming to QVC Spotlight

GROVER - Tracy Walker got on his knees in preparation for his "15 minutes of fame" coming Wednesday morning on the QVC channel.

Spray, spray, blot, blot, rub a little. The ground-in dirt in a heavy-traffic turn disappeared as Walker used Green Genie Carpet and Upholstery Spotter on the area.

He's looking forward to the same success when he appears live on national television.

"We are so excited and really looking forward to this," Walker told The Star.

Got To Be Green LLC, a Cleveland County-based company, landed a sweet spot on the popular marketing channel after submitting the 100-percent natural and organic Carpet and Upholstery Spotter.

The segment will air with veteran host Mary Beth Roe as part of QVC's celebration of the 39th annual Earth Day.
In a commercial carpet cleaning business together, Chris Weaver of Fallston and Walker, of Grover, founded Got to Be Green in 2007, after they could not find the eco-friendly products they sought for their work.

"Our environmentally responsible products are non-toxic, safe and effective using only all-natural and organic, plant-based ingredients," Walker said.

An independent testing lab in Atlanta certified the cleaner as eco-friendly.

His cleaning solutions use colloidal micelles chemistry, which creates the smallest cleaning particles available, Walker said.

"That's what makes the magic happen. This allows our solutions to penetrate stains deeper and more evenly to hold dirt particles in suspension, making cleaning easier and safer."

Through his friendly grin, he said he's as ready as he can be for the nationwide exposure on QVC, one of the country's most viewed channels.

"This is our trial run with them - if it goes like we think it will, they'll ask us back."
